We pleased to announce that we are now shipping our eighth edition, version 8.1, of our CD.

Due the outrageous rate at which new programs are released we feel it is necessary to do frequent updates. We thought that you would appreciate it.

    OUR CD INCLUDES:

    Operating Tips with audio recordings of the sounds of all the modes.

    All of RIGblaster owners manuals on the CD in addition to our printed manual.

    A self extracting installer is provided for every program that did not come with it's own. This automatically installs the program and puts a startup Icon in a RIGblaster folder to make it easy to run. You do not have to know how to download, unZip, install, de-compress or do a manual installation, it is all automatic. For advanced users you may still choose the file locations you would prefer.

    Our extras include VE2DBE's fantastic Radio Mobile 3D color terrain and radio propagation mapping program. This program high resolution elevation data downloadable from the USGS and other sources. It operates Packet APRS using the AGW Packet sound card engine. Even if you have no need to do propagation and terrain mapping it is worth an evening to learn the program to view the high resolution, accurate, topo maps. You can even put your 3D glasses to see maps in true stereoscopic relief or do an animated fly-by of you QTH or anywhere else.

    Please understand we did not write any of the software on our CD. It is a collection of all of the Amateur Radio sound card communication software that we could find and had permission to use. It is the result many months of work. We include a user interface to browse the CD and to easily install programs. Most of the programs are Windows with a few DOS, Linux and Mac apllications.

    We tried to include all the software we could find. We are sorry if we missed any. Please let us know what you would like to see included on our next CD!

    The MacIntosh Multimode software is on our CD. Mac users may go to the Mac directory to try Mac Multimode.

    This CD is included for free with a RIGblaster and is available as a separate item for less than our production costs.

    We hope that this CD makes it convenient to try all the wonderful software that makes these modes of communication possible.
